About this session

This week we're heading down to help Queen's Park Community Council, we will deliver QPCC’s local newslette. It's a nice run down and then we'll be running up and down Fernhead Road to deliver the local newsletter. Get yourself signed up!

Queen’s Park Community Council is London’s only community council, dedicated to improving life for local residents through events, projects, and services tailored to community needs. Their newsletter is a vital resource for keeping neighbors informed and connected.

About the Retrofit Taskforce: This Westminster City Council initiative is tackling climate change by retrofitting buildings to be more energy-efficient. Their work helps reduce carbon emissions, preserve historic properties, and create a greener city for everyone.

We will be leafleting Fernhead and Ilbert Street. For Ferhead Road, we will deliver to the left-hand side (i.e. the side with St. Luke's Church on it).

For Ilbert Street, we are working with the Westminster City Council Retrofit Task Force, so for these addresses, we have an additional letter to be delivered at the same time supporting them.

We meet at Beer and Burger where we can leave bags or coats , and use the toilet facililites

This task supports

QPCC is the first Community Council in London. We came into existence following the May elections in 2014 after local residents voted for the first London Community/Parish Council to be established. The Council has a unique opportunity to better serve and represent the 12,500 residents of Queen’s Park and we are doing so by focusing on community engagement. We are an apolitical council whose aims are to provide residents with a community they wish to see by improving educational opportunities; improving social and economic wellbeing and improving the appearance of the local area.

What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run, with the option of walking too. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run or walk to the task together. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us by email at brent@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 5km and 6km in total.

Remember that we will be running or walking to and from the task, so you'll only be running or walking for half this distance in one go.
