For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
Our third visit to Greenhill Allotments. Come and help with some general clearance, as well as removing some weeds and grass. The plot holder is unable to carry out the work herself. Having an allotment to use would provide a lot of benefit.
Please bring your own gardening gloves if you have them, all other tools will be provided. This will be quite a physically challenging task. Please feel free to stay for any length of time, or arrive after the task has started (get in touch if doing that).
No facilities on site, nearest toilets are at Morrisons Cowgate. Free on street parking is available at the task.
The what3words location is ///ruby.modern.added . The allotments aren’t visible from the street, but are hidden behind a big gate, on the left hand side of the road as you head down Greenhill View from Ponteland Road.
It is a small allotment where tenants can grow their own food and have access to outside space.
