27 runners tackle a 9km round trip to shovel shit and a 6km round trip to dig for victory at a local primary school
It was a balmy evening compared to the chills we have had in recent weeks and Lambeth was up for running. We had a lovely new runner Jack who had seen an advert on the tube THAT AFTERNOON and made it on down to Brixton town. We love him already.
I just saw the advert on the tube! Said Jack
8 runners took off down Brixton road on a solid 4.5km run down to Oasis Farm near Waterloo. Farmer Tim put out his welcome sign again and we got down to the tough task of turning over animal poo. This stuff is quite literally as thick as shit and it was a real work out for the arms and core. Once we'd done a strong 20 minutes work, we went to meet the blind mummy pig, her piglets and even a 1-day old baby lamb! Thanks Farmer Tim!
Look at the baby lamb! Said everyone
The rest of the group strode out up Brixton hill to Streatham where a primary school was waiting for us. A bit of land needed weeding and digging over and Lambeth got stuck in. Again, this was tough work and everyone involved put their all into it.
And with that it was a steady run back to base for some stretches led by James. Great work all round team!
