Leeds Urban Harvest is all about stopping surplus fruit from going to waste. We gather as much as we can, distribute what we can to people who need it, and turn the rest into juice etc to fundraiser for the project.
That means apple season is pretty busy for us!
Do you think Good Gym would be interested in helping in some way? One thing I had thought was possible apple pickings. We have nearly 500 trees that people have reported to us as having surplus fruit, which we have in a database by postcode area, so GoodGym are asked to do a run from tree to tree collecting fruit. Meeting point tbc, so check back nearer the time for more details.
