Wow, what a night to travel our furtest distance so far and so lovely that we could work with 'Carriers of Hope' on the eve of their 10th anniversary. Great to meet Max tonight too, hope to see you again soon.
So we ran 4.5km to reach our destination at the far end of the Foleshill Rd chatting as we went and catching up on adventures over the bank holiday weekend. finally we reached our destination and were welcomed by Helen and ,founder of the charity,Sue who greeted us, rehydrated us and gave us a quick history of the charity- it started in Sue's attic.
We soon formed a human chain and passed the many crates, bags and boxes up to their new home on the mezzanine floor. It was definitely a case of many hands make light work and before we knew it, not only had the crates moved but they had also been organised based on who would receive the gifts. It was soon time for us to finish the task and start our journey back with a Fartlek session using traffic lights on our return to Drapers. Past Blue Ribbon roundabout , cue quick discussion on it's History and before we knew it 4 effort sessions were completed and we said a quick farewell to the knife angel as she is on her way to Birmingham.
See you all next week for a sanding and varnishing session at St Mary and St Benedicts school. Hope you have a lovely week, Liz x
