Kelsey Park sessions return as the autumn draws in, and with that extra hour on Sunday I donated it to doing some weed clearing with the Friends group who have been gardening near the top of the park over this year in a very small clearing next to the path. It's come a long way but nature always fights back, so we had plenty of work to do!

I was tasked with clearing a bunch of nettles that had grown between the trees and grass, causing the border to look unsightly. I grabbed a trowel, secateurs, a fork and a spade, and set to work getting the long roots out as well as the stems so they wouldn't come back.

I finally remembered to take a before and after photo, and the result was super satisfying!
