Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A long hill was the flavour of the night for our six Goodgym runners in Bath with an elevation of 175m and a distance of 4.3k to the peak to wash Bicycles for a community cycle circuit which is used by people old and young including people with disabilities by the wheels for all group with specially adapted bikes.
We were a bit thin on the ground tonight but with many doing Bath Half on Sunday and some taking part in their first Half Marathon it was no surprise, I can imagine a few sore legs could be to blame. Well done to all those who took part and supported on the day, GG Bath doing such a great job on a surprisingly warm day.
Kenta and Rosie obviously can`t get enough of a good thing after completing Bath Half and could not resist joining in the epic hill climb tonight. A regroup half way before the final push and a chance for Emily, Charles and Kenta to enjoy some lamp post hill sprints on route.
We arrived at the cycle circuit to be greeted by our host Felix ( whos running Man vs Horse with some persuasion from Steph) Sometimes you have to delegate and split the prize money of course. Don
t let me down Felix.
Working in a line to tackle the task tonight with Emily was first in line degreasing followed by Ellen taking charge of the hose pipe and passing onto Kenta and Charles with BUCKET AND SOCK to tackle the grease and grime before a second rinse off and moving on to Rosie who was in charge of oiling and lubricating.
We spent 30 minutes on tonight's task but managed to take a ride on one of the specially adapted bikes YELLOW SUBMARINE with some lovely headwear before saying goodbye to Felix.
The journey back was a bit easier on the LEGS AND LUNGS with a descent back the Bear Flat where the group peeled off to avoid anymore hills to get back home.
Great commitment tonight after a hard weekend for most. Bath should be proud of you and all the Good you do.

The group photos from this one have to be some of my favourite. You know when you look back and think....'what were we thinking?!'
