12 terrific runners ran 4km in the FREEEEZING cold to tidy up at the GBCH charity shop!

It was great to be back running again with this lot after a week off. We welcomed a new face to the Greenwich squad, Neil, who usually runs at GoodGym Camden. Welcome to Greenwich Neil! Helen snapped up her free pair of exclusive GG red laces for bringing along Mridula last week! Who I think is safe to say is already loving GoodGym??? 3 good deeds in the space of 8 days... amazing! And if anyone else brings a friend in January or February you can grab a pair of those laces too!

Sarah says!

We did a warm up outside and man it was chilly. A few high knees and bum kicks to get the heart pumping followed by a take on Simon says. After a few minutes battling against the cold, it was safe to say we were warm-ish...

We set off down the main road heading out of Greenwich. The shop was only around 2km away so before we knew it, we had arrived! We were greeted by Jane and her team who divided us into groups to do different tasks. One group organising the bric-a-brac, one group putting out new clothes, one group tidying upstairs, one person hoovering and then just general cleaning and tidying up around the shop.

Where's your hoover guy?

Last time we came here, our resident vacuumer, Christian, was elsewhere and sadly, he was away again last night. It was a lot to live up to but Tom stepped up and what a fine job he did too.

After 20-25 minutes, the place was transformed! We had a nice group photo and we caught a glimpse into the future of what Vickie was going to look like at her wedding. B-E-A-UTIFUL! We headed back down Trafalgar Road and turned up towards Maze Hill for our fitness session!

Hilly sprints!

We split into two groups purely from a space perspective but naturally things got quite competitive. We did 3 hill repeats of approx 85-90% effort. When the first person got to the top, everyone would turn around and come back down so that everyone technically should be working the same amount. Everyone did amazing! There were some very speedy runners in the group! Well done! We had a few photos and made our way back to the start where we did a little cool down. Then went in for some biscuits :)

Just a reminder that the Woolwich starter session is this Saturday, please tell your friends! Also the Lewisham Fitness 4 All is tonight if anyone fancies it! Led by yours truly. And next week's task is here if you want to get a head start and sign up already, which I can see some of you already have!!

Great job last night guys! Thank you all for coming and putting in your hard work as usual! See you next time!
