Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
17 Goodgym runners arrived for the launch of Goodgym in Bexley. We were welcomed by smiling faces from lots of organisations and treated with a speech from the Mayor of Bexley. After our warm up we waited eagerly at the red tape for the Mayor to cut and send us on our way. Our task was a 1.5K run out the Bexley Mencap HQ to clear and tidy up their side garden to make a great space for social gatherings and BBQ's. We headed out a nice pace so everyone could chat and enjoy the experience of our first Bexley Goodgym run together. On arrival it was all hands on deck as we started on our task. Being a small alley way, it was a tight squeeze and very dark but this didn't faze us. in fact it bought us closer together as we ploughed through the weed pulling, gravel sweeping, and flower pot arranging like true pro's. With sense of wonderful achievement that we had completed our first ever task in Bexley we headed back towards Crooklog for our fitness session. Now then, a strong core is key for runners, so this is what our fitness session was all about. We formed two teams so to create a challenge, and a challenge it was. As soon as both teams realised the forfeits for losing was BURPEE'S both sides up'd there game, and the completion heated up. This great Goodgym run finally came to a close with smiles, laughter and of course static stretching. GOODGYM BEXLEY, YOU WERE AWESOME!
