Welcome to newbs Jo and Jen! And well done Craig (1st place) and Ruaridh (2nd place) for their accomplishments racing a mile at the weekend.

A bit chilly so to warm up we had a quick game of "Find the Penny". Actually "Find the Ten Pence". And the prize was to start the headcount. A true privilege. Well done Ruaridh for finding the 10p and starting the night off saying the number "1" and your name.

Two tasks as usual this evening.

Kike led a gang to St. Lukes:

A seven strong party headed back to St Luke's for the 3rd week in a row. This time variety was the name of the game. We had lots of tasks for us to do.

Graham and Steve got stuck in to moving the last of the compost bags in to the shed we moved in a previous visit whilst the rest of us got handy with some staple guns fixing the lining in to some raised beds. After this we joined forces to move three potted trees from their upstairs terrace into the back garden.

After a quick Christmas tree photo opportunity we headed back up through the backstreets to Highbury pool.

The rest of the group headed to Caxton House to paint an office.

With lots of adorable paint kettles and hairy brushes (all brushes are hairy. I just like unnecessary qualifiers) we spread ourselves out around the room and painted our little hearts out.

The office looked 7.3 times better when we left so we can feel good about ourselves. Well done everyone.

Then it was back to the pool in three groups, with Caroline, Aidan and Simon taking a group each.

Debate of the evening: Should we keep the monarchy? Privilege! Tourism! Money! Estates! Nice! Unelected! Unfair! Unjust! What about the money? I like licking stamps! We heard it all. The vote was pretty evenly split with only Nina not caring and Ben being somewhere in the middle. I will let Buckingham Palace know they can carry on, but have to be careful.

Biscuit of the evening: good old bourbons. Thanks to Aidan for running to the shop and picking them up while at the task.

We are back at Caxton next week to make some lanterns! Be there

Love, hugs and kisses,
Simo

P.S. Hope you like the cat. New feature
