Don't be 'alarmed'!
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Great Salterns Preservation Society in Portsmouth.
- Sunday, 12th of January 2020
- Led by Judy Knapp
It was a cold and blustery morning on Great Salterns but Pippa, Tracey, Sarah, Maxine, Val, Mel & Judy wrapped up warm and battled with the rubbish bags blowing in the wind to collect litter from around the perimeter of the field.
We found several parts from a moped in the bushes, including a very sensitive bike lock with a loud alarm, which seemed to go off every time we tried to pick it up!
Otherwise it was the usual yield of recyclables and lots of small pieces of litter, which had been exposed by the recent hedge-trimming.
We ended the litter pick with a test of how many music bands we could think of from each letter of the alphabet. We only got as far as C, so perhaps we will carry on from D next time!
Thanks to Val & Sarah for photos.
