Hawker Court – Hedge & Grass cut
1 GoodGymer made their way to help the Slough Borough Council Neighbourhood Services in Slough.
- Saturday, 2nd of September 2023
- Led by Manjit Birk
Local councillors Mabu Shaik (also GoodGym runner) & Neel Rana joined up with Hawker Court residents to cut the grass and overgrown hedges. The lovely residents Sylvia, Mr & Mrs. Thomas family along with Derrick who lent the tools and electricity to cut make the mission successful.
Each of us took the three tools available. The resident Derrick used the saw to cut the tree blocking the window – Neel Rana mowed most the of the grass, but unfortunately the mower stopped working, luckily most of the grass cut. Mabu cut the hedges with the petrol disc cutter. At the end of the session everyone helped to gather the green waste to a corner. The front garden now tidy and safe for the residents, who’re elderly.
Thanks to Manjit who organised the event to help the residents of Slough.
