A beautiful frosty morning 5k run down to Bath City farm and a spot if scrub clearing for an enthusiastic 8 lovelies with an added bonus of the beautiful view of Bath.

Matt joined us from GG Brizzle this morning having cycled across to do parkrun first, the man is a machine.

A slightly cautious run down the hill to start off with this morning being it was fairly icy in places, but never fear Emily was back marking with the first aid kit, good to know we were in safe hands today.

Mally was on site to meet and greet the group and dish out loppers, slashers of all shapes and sizes along with some meaty gloves to protect our sweet hands from the bramble scrub we were about to tackle to the ground. We worked for a solid hour Slashing away (safe distance from each other) at the scrub and what a challenge it was with the new growth being particularly difficult to cut down. A bit of tool swapping to ensure we worked all muscle groups, this task was definitely good for the body and soul.

A well deserved cuppa along with a slab of MILLIONAIRE SHORTBREAD and COOKIES compliments of the farm... yummy lush, some might say fuel to get us back up the hill.

Thanks for another sterling job done today and for enduring a few unavoidable scratches from them darn brambles.

It was great to join GG Bath as ever, and it was good to get some training in for the [Race to Oxford] (https://www.goodgym.org/races/race-to-oxford-south-west-vs-london).
