10 Westminster GoodGymers ran 7k to help One Big family helping the homeless charity in Victoria.
Starting off on a very windy Wednesday on Oxford Street we glided South with a bit of a bounce in our steps as the pace was strong!
Hearing about amazing Half Marathon PB exploits up North and recovering injury rehabs we were were soon at the Ebury Estate at meet Mike and the team.
With the amazing new partnership with a local community Centre kitchen who are making hot food for the Wednesday Homeless food kitchen we were on sorting and moving duty. Bagging up 3 huge bags of blankets and bedding to be given out later in the evening to those that need it. Emptying a whole store to get to a Cooker then transporting it to a family in one of the blocks who was with a cooker. Delivering a book shelf to another family on the estate who had just received housing.
With all delivery’s made we had time for a powerful fitness session to engage our core, dominate our upper bodies and reinforce our lower body strength and conditioning!
With all that in the bag we darted back to base with a top session under our belts!
Next week we will be off to complete our Primary School memorial Garden efforts! Need loads of help with this one! Promise lighters bags and more tools! Be great to have you along!
We also need to do a picture in the theme of 6 for a GG picture collage. All ideas greatly received!!
Have a great week
Joel
