Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Bournemouth runner
7 brave all weather runners gathered at Flirt Cafe this evening. It was also great as we got to see Lydia who was having her documents checked to go on coach runs, her along with Megan too! Brilliant! Now all we need is more lovely elderly people to contact GoodGym to refer themselves!
Tonights task saw us run the short distance to Hope Housing, and we were very lucky as the weather cleared in the afternoon. Mark quickly got us emptying the shed of boards and plaster boards, and although we weren't super efficient we managed to get the whole stack out in good time. But it became clear that to get the job done and have a greater sense of achievement we were going to have to extend the task time and sacrifice the longer route back.
You should have seen us getting the boards back in....that was a beautiful sight! Poetry in motion! With some brilliant 80s songs to sing along to we got everything back in shed and tidied away really quickly. Now Mark has a lot more space in his work shed and will be able to undertake a lot more projects.
On our way back we ran past Dosa World and remembered how much we wanted to go there...so next week after our group run, which is a flyer drop for the Big Draw Event, we will head there to celebrate and have some food together.
CAN'T WAIT! See you all next week! And remember to keep logging your training runs to up our January totals! Thank you Daryll for the title! Brilliant!
