Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A short jog for me pre Aquatics centre meet up. A hectic day left behind me in North London, hence I was delighted to get my hands dirty for GoodGym. Then shoot the breeze over some pizza and beer.
An unusually small turnout this week, with just Alice, Tim and myself. We hung around until 7.10 while chatting away...then made the wee journey to Mobile Garden City.
An arm chiselling workout lay ahead of us. Sawing, sawing and then after that...some more sawing. Needless to say, we saw to it.
The purpose of our wood cutting, is so that thet can use these blocks as a blackboard come signpost. So we were designing platforms for communication...you could say. After 30mins we packed away , seeing to most of the wood...pizza was imminent.
On a side note, always hugely impressed with the range of plants, herbs and flowers that these guys grow. A hugely knowledgeable horticultural bunch they are. Hats off.
A little pace change work out on the way back. Nothing too intense, just with an aim to bring heart rate up and remind the body of faster running.
We then cycled and ran over to Natura Pizzeria in Hackney Wick...Max recommended it 2 weeks ago. He didn't disappoint, we were all really quite impressed. Justin joined us, with a strong limp, indicative of his 24 hour endurance run!
Hope next week we can have a larger crew again...make it happen guys!
