A flat course, taking in the sights and sounds of historical London AND a closed road run - what an awesome event. There was also loads of on-course entertainment, as if the sights themselves weren't enough to distract you, and the finish outside Downing Street was a once in a life time moment. It's also worth taking a minute to appreciate the medal - in the shape of the Shard and opening like a locket, I'm a huge fan of meaningful race bling and this certainly ticked that box. This was almost an emotional experience, having not taken part in any racing since the start of the pandemic, and to be in central London, with thousands of runners and spectators, was something special. It's so good to be back! Well done to everyone from the GoodGym who took part and raised much needed funds for various charities - what a team!
