17 lovely do-gooders ran 5km to help tidy up the garden at St George's church in Westcombe Park!

Another cold one last night but it didn't stop a whopping 17 of you getting out there doing your good deed! Amazing!!! We had one new runner join us, physio Helen, welcome Helen!

The big 5-0 for Amy!

Yesterday was a big milestone for Amy as it was her 50th Good Deed! WOOO! Aside from obviously doing 50 good deeds, Amy has done some pretty amazing things with her running since joining GoodGym including her first marathon earlier this year in a RIDICULOUS time of 3h18. It's been great being a part of the journey and seeing her get faster over this past year! Keep going Amy and that London Marathon championship start will be yours!!!

We dropped off our things in the room, and I don't think I was the only one that didn't want to leave, it was so warm and toasty in there.... but the church was calling!

A little warm up, a quick group snap and then and we got on our way!

We ran up by Maze Hill station... Matt and Sam were convinced it was a dead end but I wasn't having any of it so we carried on anyway, and alas, indeed yes, the gate was locked............... so it was Ben Cooper aka Mr Greenwich and his impeccable Greenwich knowledge to the rescue showing us all a sneaky shortcut through the station and lo and behold we were back on track!

A few minutes and quite a steep hill later, we arrived at the church and were greeted by the lovely Jo. The task basically consisted of taking some dead trees from the alleyway, breaking them up and putting them in the skip and also trying to get rid of some of the fifty billion leaves!

Everyone got to work and grabbed a tree. Gennie and Helen were on leaf clearing duty which was a bit of a daunting task due to the sheer volume but they did incredibly well and managed to rake them away leaving a nice clear pathway hopefully sparing a church visitor from a sprained ankle! Nice one ladies!

Greenwich goodies x2!

After 20 minutes or so, most of the trees had been cleared and put into the skip. Jo had kindly got us some mince pies and some kit kats to fuel our journey back!

We were about to set off and very nearly had a Home Alone situation on our hands leaving Chan and Andy behind, but the important thing is that we didn't and everything was fine and under control :)

We headed back to the uni for a quick 4 minute fitness session featuring some squat jumps to get those glutes burnin' and some plank jacks to fire up that core! 8 sets of 20 seconds on 10 seconds off and we were DONE!

IMPORTANT CHRISTMAS PARTY INFO!!!!!

Our GoodGym Greenwich Christmas meal is on Friday 8th December at 8.30pm at The Old Brewery. It would be great to have you there! If you would like to come, please choose your meal options from the menu here. Prices are 1 course £20, 2 courses £26 or 3 £32. We also need a £10 deposit per person which can be paid to Alex, so just drop him an email at alex.j.murtough@gmail.com and he'll ping across his bank details. Once you've chosen your options and paid your deposit, please fill out this spreadsheet. If your name isn't on there, just add it to the bottom :)

We need to finalise everything by tomorrow so if you could get on it today that would be great! And it looks like there are some free pigs in blankets up for grabs thanks to Clare!
