Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
We had it all in Richmond tonight.... Raining cats and dogs, one dog even joined us for the workout section overseeing the recovery between sets. We needed a mascot and figured all that was missing from him was a Goodgym red shirt so watch this space.
Our task this evening was ETNA a community Victorian house which is bursting with community spirit. Several worthwhile causes dwell here and the place as lovely as it looked needed a little TLC. So I went Potty trying to find the key in the rain. Long story but let's just say we got there in the end. Wisely Sarah summarised with her pun that 'the key to a Good task is under the other pot!!' . Then the team despite the rain, the 6k run and the sprints with bodyweight exercises in spirited but friendly fashion went to work at ETNA East Twickenham Neighbourhood Association. ETNA houses several community organisations and have just recently celebrated all they do in our community with a 30th birthday party. We were delighted to be able to assist them with the grounds this evening working in timely fashion we raked, swept, weeded, shovelled and cleared lots in the garden to help with its upkeep. Still more to be done but I think the sleepers slowed us a little until as a team we showed them the way to utilise our training for Good by preforming some great deadlifts and left them sleeping on the other side of the car park.
Once again was proud of our Richmond Team, grateful to Wholefoods for their hospitality and our Graze runners for delicious post workout nutrition - More photos to follow See you next week for more action
Unless some of you can make it to the social event of the week at the Star of Kings , near Kings Cross this Thursday then there will be more Goodgym talk there. You and your friends are welcome. https://www.goodgym.org/happenings/there-once-was-a-man-called-george
