Tonight four GoodGym regulars put on their woollies and headed to WholeFoods for our penultimate task before Christmas…

Mark, our GoodGym trainer had decided to increase the intensity of our workouts between now and Christmas so that we could enjoy an extra mince pie or two in the festive season… So, with this in mind we set off towards the A316 (one of Richmond’s main attractions!) where Mark planned to use the footbridge to get us doing some GoodGym interval training. On approach, we saw that another fitness group had had the same idea and were lunging and squatting their way over the bridge. We were not deterred and the arrival of team Richmond saw them quaking in their boots - they soon left us the bridge to do some shuttle runs, push-ups, burpees and lunges!

Our main task today was at SPEAR an organisation that aims to help homeless people in south west London find secure accommodation and work towards learning new skills for a positive future. SPEAR had received a wealth of donations from local churches and supermarkets but needed our help to get them organised. Their store cupboard was overflowing with donations - tins of baked beans, soup, spaghetti hoops, tuna and more baked beans! We managed to resist our inner ‘OCD’ urges and completely reorganise the stock room – but I have a feeling that team Richmond will be back at SPEAR to finish what we started!

GoodGym Richmond – THERE IS ONLY ONE MORE RUN LEFT IN 2016!! Join us next week for our last task and don’t forget we will be going to the Victoria Inn – the site of our ‘watering can’ task for a festive drink!

See you next week!

Run report courtesy of Sara Meeajan, thank you lots. Photos provided by a number of paparazzi. Thank you for all the contributions. One of the biggest questions tonight was... you guessed it! Food related! "What uses does Chestnut puree have?" researched with lighting efficiency we can now confirm thanks to the input from Melanie Davies (aka Harris) "According to top chef Gary Rhodes chestnut purée with lots of cream flavoured with nutmeg and cinnamon goes great with chocolate cheesecake!! YUM"
