Refrigerator navigators

Hounslow Report written by JP

Mr A needed his old fridge to be removed to make way for a new one, so Luis and JP were on hand to help.

It was a sunny Sunday morning as we met Mr A at his door. He showed us the fridge and we quickly realised we would need to clear a path through the rest of the flat to make way for it.

We measured the fridge and went through the flat checking doorways and gaps between furniture. Satisfied we could navigate a path, we unplugged and pulled out the fridge and set off.

Fortunately, the fridge had small wheels so the going was quite straightforward. It got a bit trickier once we were outside the flat as we had to negotiate uneven tarmac and gravel, but eventually we made it to our destination, the waste area behind the front wall of the complex.

All in all, it was a satisfying task and Mr A was very grateful for our help.

Weed it and reap!

Richmond Report written by Adam Stephens

On the longest and hottest day of the year so far, three GoodGymmers turned out for our monthly Richmond Furniture Scheme visit

JP, Sam and Adam, arriving by various means of transport from bike, running to driving, were allocated the task of weeding and clearing out the overgrown yard before bagging and leafing it all behind!

We finished off by helping unload items from the weekends mega skip day

Overall you could say the outside space was improved beyond Beleaf!

Flagging in the heat!

Richmond Report written by Liz (She/her)

This vibrant youth club always brings out everyone's playful side and this evening was no different while we scrubbed down the projector inflatable, laminated posters and menus and prepared flags for summer activities! All this sandwiched by a sunny 7.5km run welcoming Larissa back to GoodGym for the first time since 2020, and Steph for her first group run, taking us from Richmond to Mortlake. The other half of the team made their own way and Lucy and Katie hot footing it from another task in Hammersmith!
