Taking Back the Thor Lands - UAL x GoodGym Special !!

Back to The Thorlands!

We are delighted to be partnering with the University of the Arts London on today's awesome task! The goal is to continue with the Thorlands community garden project.

We'll be continuing in the Forest Garden and activities are likely to include:

• Laying down woodchip/mulch for the Forest path

• Potting plants in the 'walled garden'

• Planting saplings and shrubs and artichokes in the 'Forest Garden

• Digging up acanthus and bindweed roots in all areas of the gardens

• Mulching with cardboard and semi-composted material

• Managing the compost pile

• Shaping shrub canopies

New to GoodGym?

Not to worry! We're a welcoming bunch, whether you're just starting out as a volunteer or you've been doing it for years.

Here's the important information - the "Where, When and What":

📍 We meet at UAL Camberwell Campus (see below). (You can also meet us at the task: Thor Lands Gardens, Elsinore House, Denmark Road, London, SE5 9EJ at 2:20pm).

⌚ 2pm Meet at Camberwell Campus (45-65 Peckham Rd, London SE5 8UF) . Be ready to leave by 2:10 latest!

✅ There will be access to a locked section of the park to drop bags and if you're cycling to the task, there's plenty of space to lock up bicycles.

🏃🏃‍♀️ After a quick intro we'll set off from Camberwell campus for a stroll across to our task.

Advisable: Bring 🧤 gardening gloves if you have them!
