Mission: Operation Windrush Sweep! ๐งนโจ
This week our legendary crew tackled the rubbish problem at Windrush Square (see what we did there? ๐). Armed with trowels, dustpans, black bags, and one trusty broom, we went full CSI: Litter Squad to give the square the deep clean it deserved!
The Highlight Reel: ๐
๐ The Return of the Legend! After a 5-year hiatus (we're not saying he was having a long nap), Harry made his triumphant comeback! We were so excited we almost threw confetti... but then remembered we'd just have to pick it up again. Welcome back, Harry! ๐ป
๐ฆธโโ๏ธ Our Core Crew of Champions: Fi, Dan, Tilly, and Michael (aka the Treat Master ๐ง) showed up ready to sweep the competition. You absolute legends knocked it out of the park (and the litter out of the grass)!
We popped bottle tops, nabbed broken glass with military precision, and generally showed that litter who's boss. Tom from Lambeth Council sends his thanks โ the square is looking rubbish-free and gorgeous!
Pun Score: 10/10 would pick again! ๐ฏ
Same time next week? Let's keep the good times rolling and Lambeth cleaning! ๐

๐ GOODGYM LAMBETH RUN REPORT ๐
When Plans Go A-rye (mill)! ๐พ
This week served up a last-minute plot twist worthy of a Halloween thriller! Our original task got cancelled faster than you can say "trick or treat," but did that stop our intrepid crew? Not a chance! We pivoted quicker than a Jack Russell chasing squirrels and headed straight to Brixton Windmill Gardens for some leafy heroics. ๐
Mission: Help Jean rake in the Halloween spirit!
Armed with scrapers, rakes, brooms, and a couple of one-tonne builders bags (because we don't do things by halves!), we set about gathering every last leaf we could find. Future mulch? More like future GOLD, am I right?! ๐ฐ๐
The team was absolutely raking it in - quite literally! We swept through those gardens like a pack of highly motivated border collies on a mission. Speaking of which... ๐
Tonight's burning question: If you were a dog, what breed would you be?!
Turns out the GG family is packed with active breeds - no couch potato pugs here! Safe to say we've got more energy than a springer spaniel in a tennis ball factory. ๐ถ๐บโก
Shout out to our usual cast of absolute legends: Jo, Michael, Fi, Katie, and Ben - you guys are PAW-some! We're not lion when we say you're the mane event every single week! ๐ฆ๐ช๐ผ
Until next time, keep running, keep doing good, and remember: LEAF it all out there! ๐๐
Another week, another good deed in the bag (literally - a one-tonne one!) ๐งนโจ

๐โโ๏ธโ๏ธ GOODGYM LAMBETH RUN REPORT โ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
Mission: Operation Hedge Fund ๐ฟ๐ฐ Location: Holy Trinity Task Owner: Nicole (making her official GG debut - hedging her bets on us!)
This week our magnificent crew ran to Holy Trinity where Nicole needed some serious hedge-ucation! The mission? Chop and lop those overgrown hedges down to size so no sneaky wrong'uns could lurk behind them. We weren't hedging our bets - we went all in! ๐ช๐ผ
Armed with loppers, choppers, and a trusty broom, we channelled our inner Edward Scissorhands and got stuck in. Let's just say our topiary skills were... a cut above? ๐งนโ๏ธ (Okay, maybe we're better at running than gardening, but we gave it a good trim!)
Tonight's Royal Rumble: ๐๐ค The conversation took a regal turn as we discovered our group is basically the Buckingham Palace of running clubs! We've got lineage going back to William the Conqueror, connections to Edward VIII, AND someone related to Kylie (we're assuming Minogue, not Jenner, but we should be so lucky!). Forget the Crown - we're living our own Netflix series!
Special Shout-Outs: ๐ ๐ HUGE welcome to Nicole who flipped from task owner to official GoodGymer - talk about hedge-ing your bets on the right crowd! You absolutely smashed it!
๐ Our regular legends were out in force: Jo, Michael, Tilly, and Patrick - you're all absolute diamonds! ๐
๐ And a MASSIVE thank you to Marks & Spensers via AA Yianny for the sweet treats to celebrate getting another year wiser (and clearly more generous)! Age is just a number, but cake is FOREVER. ๐ค
Final verdict: Another hedge-cellent night of fitness, friendship, and foliage management! We came, we saw, we pruned! ๐ฟโจ
Same time next week? We'll be there - you can hedge on it! ๐

๐โโ๏ธ๐ช GoodGym Lambeth Run Report ๐โโ๏ธ๐ช
This week, our magnificent crew of do-gooders traded their usual running routes for a different kind of marathon - the Great Garage Clear-Out of 2025! ๐ฆ๐๏ธ
We descended upon Myatts Fields to help Kim with a mission that would make Marie Kondo sweat: shifting a lifetime's worth of treasures (and let's be honest, some questionable "I'll definitely use this someday" items) from her Hackney collection out into the daylight for inventory! โ๏ธ
The Task-master Lineup:
๐ Fabian - Our brilliant newbie made their debut and swept us off our feet (literally - they were on broom duty)! Welcome to the gang, Fabian - you really cleaned up on your first mission! ๐งนโจ
๐ฆธโโ๏ธ The Usual Suspects: Ben, Michael, Dan, Paul, and Patrick brought their A-game, grabbing, sorting, and stacking like a well-oiled (albeit slightly dusty) machine!
๐ฐ Adam - Our knight in shining apron stepped up when tragedy struck the Bake Off tent (no baker = no bakes ๐ฑ). This absolute legend whipped up a gluten-free fruit cake AND brought Tupperware for transport. Adam, you really take the biscuit! ๐๐
Mission Highlights: - โ Sorted everything into neat categories (playing real-life Tetris with decades of memories!) - โ Gave the garage a thorough sweep (though we're pretty sure the dust declared victory and staged a comeback) ๐งน๐จ - โ Proved that many hands make light work (even when that work involves heavy boxes!)
Another cracking evening of fitness, teamwork, and community spirit! Who knew cardio could involve this much carrying? ๐ช๐
Same time next week, GoodGym heroes? ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ

This week, our magnificent mob of do-gooders descended upon Max Roach Park for what can only be described as a rubbish time (in the best possible way)! ๐๏ธ
Tom from Lambeth Council gave us our marching orders: wage war on litter with the fanciest grabbers this side of the Thames. Weโre talking haute couture litter pickers, darling! ๐
Our troops split into two elite squads:
Squad 1: The Litter Legends ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ
Armed with our premium picking equipment, we swept through the park like a well-oiled cleaning machine. No crisp packet was safe. No stray cup escaped our grasp. We came, we saw, we picked it up.
Squad 2: The Bottle Top Battalion ๐พ
Meanwhile, the bench crew got down and dirty (literally), performing emergency surgery on the ground to extract embedded bottle tops. Talk about getting to the root of the problem! Their determination was truly cap-tivating. ๐ช๐ผ
Shout out to our usual suspects who showed up ready to make Max Roach Park sparkle:
๐ Andrej, Dan, Tilly, Michael, Eric, and Jo ๐
Special mention to Jo, whose homemade flapjacks provided the perfect fuel for our litter-fighting endeavors. Nothing says โcommunity spiritโ quite like baked goods that actually stick to your ribs after picking up rubbish! ๐ช๐ค
Another week, another park saved from the scourge of litter. We came for the fitness, stayed for the bins, and left with that warm fuzzy feeling that only comes from making your community a cleaner place (and maybe from Joโs flapjacks).
Until next week, keep running, keep doing good, and remember: every piece of litter picked is one step closer to a trashy-free Lambeth!
Total Trash Talk: MAXIMUM ๐
Good Deeds Done: COUNTLESS โ
Puns Made: TOO MANY ๐
Keep calm and carry on picking! See you next week, legends! ๐
