Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Bournemouth runner
Last night we went back to help at Hope Housing and it was everything we could have wished for!!
First off, congratulations to Abi and Caprice for clocking over 50 good deeds!!! Amazing achievement, we're lucky to have had you do those with us! And Daryl received his winged t-shirt for doing 100 good deeds! Brilliant!
Also, we had Damien join us for the first time which was great. Another lovely addition, good runner with a sense of humour too! Perfect!! We hope you enjoyed it and see you again soon!
It was a really cold night, so when we arrived to meet Mark at the task we were very happy to find out we were going to be indoors! It's like he read our minds...or Abbi's at least! And to top it off we were going to be putting up their two Christmas trees!
We split up into two teams... team was putting up a tree from scratch in the TV room...so after kicking out whoever was in there enjoying the football they set about using their teamwork to erect the tree, put the lights on it and decorations.
The other team were putting together a tree by the entrance. This one was a little tricky as it had old lights still tangled up in it, and they had to straighten out the tips of the branches too.
The TV room team of Will, Steve, Andrea, Abi and Damien did finish first....they did start before though....had a really nice warm environment to work in....and the TV was on the whole time too....Only thing missing was the mulled wine! Hopefully we'll meet next week for that!
On our way back we headed to the promenade and did some indian file running in pairs until we go back to the pier...nice little work out and we soon forgot how chilly it was!
Next week we'll be at CCP doing some painting, so come and join us!!
Thank you Will for the excellent pun!
