Have you got a pallet for this?
Tonight ten runners, jogged, ran and walked 5 miles to and from Thornton Heath to help out Unique Roots at their allotment.
Congratulations to Karim on completing Reigate Half Marathon at the weekend.
Pleasantries exchanged and warm up completed we headed off on our run to meet Pam at the allotment where she and her grandson were awaiting our arrival.
Pam explained that some of her clients had complained about the planters being too low for them to bend and get to as they were elderly and to avoid any injuries she had gotten some pallets to place under the planters so they would be “palatable” for all her clients. Following the completion of raising the planters onto the pallets we had time to water the plants before taking a final group photo before saying our good byes and set off on our run back to Solutions for our cool down stretches.
Its September and as always its back to school, next week our group run will be taking us back to Park Hill school to help finish off the work in their outdoor space. Sign up here
