Who say we can’t multi-tasking? A solid proof from the 131th Charlton park run that this was possible by Linda and Martin!

175 runners and walkers were supported by a strong Greenwich Goodgym team. Jen was the run director, Linda was doing the first timers welcome, token sorting and also run her 350th park run! Martin was the funnel manager as well as the number checker. Sara was in charge of time keeping. Julian was the marshal. Marta volunteered as the park walker. Steve was the volunteers co-ordinator. I was the tail walker. An extended welcome to G, Achil and Ruby joined the volunteering tasks today.

Two runners were celebrating for their 25th park runs. One runner marked his 500th park runs today. There were lots of new comers, PBs, young children and dogs running, jogging and walking along. A special welcome to Greg who made an effort to get out, enjoying the sunshine and walking along side with me. Greg’s son came all the way from Reading to join our park run!

The weather was perfect for the Easter break. The warm weather brought a lot of smiles and happiness to the group.

Thank you for choosing Charlton park run today. We would extend our warm welcome to others who haven’t tried our park run yet. Hope to see you next time!
