Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
7 hearty runners found their way back to Wanstead flats this week to continue painting the aptly named 'Eternal Corridor' thanks Andreana
With the Spring sunshine beaming down on the Olympic park we set off (at the new time of 7.15pm) and cruised through the peaceful park. 3.7k later we arrived at the Sports Pavillion; music beaming, tasty food cooking (none of which was for us) and in a much more upbeat feel to the cold evenings we've grown used to.
We set ourselves up at the end of the corridor, yes, we're nearly there. We crossed the halfway point brushes and rollers in hand, dust sheets down with masking tape around all the edges. I feel like we're getting to the end of the colouring book slowly but surely.
James from the City of London who hosts our visits kindly opened Pandoras box and gave me a sneaky peak at what we have to complete once we finally do reach the final sections of the corridor. All I'll say for now is...
there's plenty more walls where that came from.
Walls painted, running kit painted, said walls accidentally leaned on....we took a group pic and set off on our return journey, but not before giving everyone the chance to set some crazy 1km times. We staggered our starts with previous p.b's in mind and someone to chase in front we all flew down Can Hall Road.
Well done to all especially Andy and Andreana who knocked some tasty seconds off their previous attempt on the same route.
Same time next week guys
