Last night 4 of us met up at Abbeyfield Wessex House to run the monthly quiz for the lovely residents at the care home.

It was a very chilly evening but that didn't put off Marianne, as she jogged in from home...only being made to walk the last stretch by her dinner almost making its way back up!

The residents were split in two teams this week as some were in their rooms suffering from colds so numbers were a little lower than usual.

After introductions and catch ups we got stuck into Daryl's very challenging quiz! He kindly made up the whole thing but was unable to make it himself as he had to attend a funeral.

10 questions on the '50s and then 20 om general knowledge.

Janet had her first experience of quiz night and was soon voted scribe for her team. Marianne and Sue happened to join the other team which have a history of success!

With Sue and Marianne's team emerging victorious, the gang stayed for a chat and we all came to an agreement that next month, rather than a quiz, the residents would love to have a social with us instead to celebrate Christmas. We loved the idea. So next month, keep the 14th free for a few drinks and lots of chatting and laughing!
