Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Paul Bown
6 GoodGymer’s filled four sacks of weeds/bamboo for the Rose Bowl & ran 3-5km in the rain!
A little about the Rose Bowl – it’s a purpose built youth centre in the heart of Canonbury, on the edge of New River Green estate. Over three floors it has a roof terrace, sports area, music studio, art space and fitted kitchen. Read more about it here.
With our new temporary meeting location being also our task for the week we could really do the Good and then the Gym. We got straight on with the task after a quick intro and a reminder to listen to Ivo’s interview on BBC Radio 4, have a listen here.
Ceri, our wonderful contact at the Rose Bowl, had already setup all the bags and tools for us to get started she’s great! We split into the following groups:
Photosynthesis had really done it’s work!
After taking a photo surrounded by our work we said our goodbyes to Ceri and headed north for a run around the streets. Just as we began it started to rain and pour! Refreshing but yes wet.
We hit Newington Green and then began splitting up with Steve heading to Stokie, Meg & Alex to Arsenal and the rest of us via Highbury Fields. Lovely run in the rain.
Remember the Monthly Social on Thursday and look out for updates on our starting location for next week and beyond.
See you soon GGI.
PB out.
