Report written by Slough runner
Firstly a Big Happy Birthday to Darren hope you enjoyed all the cake? without us.
10 smashing runners joined us this evening for a wonderful boozy litter pick down by Jubilee River. Darren lead a few of our soilders to Jubileee River they had bags of rubbish to collect which almost FOILED since myself, Emily and Brendar were bagging them all to ourselves. All this litter did get on our goat so Jen S had a Lipton Ice Tea to cool down, I don’t think the word down mattered to Emily she wouldn’t put a SOCK in it and kept going and going down the slopes. Our lovely Jen was striking gold tonight from Orchids to keyboard to Ants ooops she meant Pants .....
Darren, Meera, Jas and Roisin did amazing collecting all the litter from opposite side of the bridge. Jean even came back with a new hair accessory. Darren must of been munching he was toooo bushy to answer his phone. A total of 11 bags of litter could total up to a whopping Big Mac wouldn't you say Emily/Jas?
After our task we headed back to Upton to play some games in aid of Team GB Week.
Split into two teams: Smashed it before they even started Eggs-celled in every way
Sand bag balance with lunges Footie dribble Egg and medicine spoon with a hoop through to finish.
During our task we learnt that Sharing is Caring just don’t be too daring.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening, next week task will be back to Salt Hill 18.30pm with our lovely Run Leader Manjit raring to GO after her well deserved holiday.
