Our crack team of Goodgymers for this gardening mission was Anne, CJ, John and Lici. Together, we went to Mrs K's place, and after meeting her, her husband, carers and cat, we got going with some garden clearing tasks. In the back garden, Anne made a quick job of clearing lots of weeds, while CJ gave a small tree a big haircut. Meanwhile out front, John and Lici blitzed some giant overgrown grass that was covering the patio, as well as clearing ivy and cutting back shrubs. Having got some more instructions from Mrs K, the 4 of us worked together to prune back some very thorny (but lovely) trees and then bag it up! To entertain ourselves while we worked, we talked about some of our previous missions, movies and pancakes (mmm... pancakes). The result of our efforts was a much less overgrown garden space for Mrs K to look out on. We filled 13(!) big bin bags with garden waste. That's some Ground Force level clearing action! This was a challenging but rewarding mission, with lots of problem-solving to do along the way. All the team gave special props to Lici for her initiative, care and attentiveness, which really helped us to work out what to do, and to put Mrs K at ease. So there you go - another Camden mission in the books!
