At the church where Ealing foodbank is being run from, the garden unfortunately seems to be home to a lot of litter! Bryon and Jenni set to work cleaning up... but the litter just kept appearing!

Under the hedges, under the plants, in the hedges and some in plain sight, we soon started to fill up our bags! Liv was doing a shift at the foodbank in the church, with a couple of other GoodGymers, but she popped out to see us and lend a hand to pick up a few bits while she was having a break (we'll let her have a good deed for helping us out!)

With recycling bins close by at the church hall, we kept stuff seperate, and managed to fill 3 bags of recycling and two bags of rubbish... but there is always more to be done, so we'll be back again in a couple of weeks to litter pick again!

Helping local people in crisis

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
