Ms R had signed up to a plant subscription service before becoming unwell and so had amassed lots of potted plants over 1-2years that had not been planted out. She joined me in the garden with her wheeled walker/sitter and we planned out where the pots would go. She was then able to hold each pot on her lap and prune it while I dug holes and prepared the ground. Some of the plants were so pot-bound that I had to cut the pots off them. We managed to plant 4 rose bushes 3 large shrubs and a couple of smaller shrubs in the allotted time. While she was sitting out, a neighbour came out to greet her, commenting that she hadn’t seen her outside for a long time, they were able to have a nice catch up while I worked away.
