Report written by Bristol runner
A dozen intrepid GoodGymers (11 Humans and a Dog) met in Kilve to go and explore the Quantock hills.
We split into three groups with the 18K team and the 22K team setting off together, albeit a little later than planned due to navigational issues and caffeine addictions. The route starts with a steep climb on tarmac up to the start of the Coleridge way where it contours around with fine views (except for the mist) of the Seven Channel, we then climbed up a valley to the top of Beacon Hill, then set off across the spine of the Quantocks, shortly after team 22K set off down the valley for a fast flowing decent and a bit of a climb back up Bicknoller Combe, the 18K team kept going along the spine, with shouts of "we'll catch you up" to "see you in the pub".
At about this point Team 10K arrived in the car park (not sure if Charlie Dog drove the whole way) and set off to join us in the hills. on a shorter (but no less steep route)
A lovely route, great company and amazing food made for a marvellous day!
After some challenging cheeky climbs, some sweeping decents, some superb single trail and some gorgeous woodland valleys all three groups got back to the pub, just before the kitchen closed and huddled around the fire till our roast dinners arrived, and what a feast it was!
Well done all, no one got lost or injured and we all enjoyed ourselves and explored a different part of the splendid south west, and pondered where to go next.
Till the next adventure.

Lovely report. You were kind to say no-one got lost. I think Emma would differ as I led her up the wrong path with thistles and a steeper slope. It all came right tho and a great day it was. Thanks again.
