Having handed me his short list and shopping bag, Mr H reached into his pocket and apologised for the fact he only had loose change (in this modern world he doesn't realise what a rare occurrence that actually is....). He handed me £5 in gold coins, saying that should be enough, but if not he'd settle up with me on my return.

A quick and easy tour around his local Morrisons to find all of Mr H's weekly essentials (thank you Morrison's Saver range), and by some miracle of maths, the checkout registered £5.01. Mr H had a good chuckle at this when I returned with his treasure...
