Rosie (my RaleighX e-bike) and I, enjoyed a short, fast ride from my daughter's house, into Liverpool, to help Ms S.

Having moved to Liverpool just three months ago, Ms S is still in the process of unpacking, decorating and sorting out in her new home.

She is a keen gardener, and has lots of plans for planting a range of colourful flowers to brighten up her below street level yard. However, arthritis in her hands means that some jobs are just too painful...and that is where GoodGym comes in.

The previous owner had filled the small space with lots of potted plants...some of which had taken over, somewhat.

My main task was to clear a significant amount of clematis, which had completely covered the hand rail, leading from the street, down to the yard. This made it very difficult, and dangerous for Ms S to safely negotiate the steps.

Armed with secateurs and a pair of gloves, it was a relatively straightforward process, once the main strands had been cut away.

With some time to spare, I tidied up the rest of the yard, moved a bench that was to be collected, and cleared away soil and plants that were causing damp in a downstairs room.

Ms S was very happy with the results and is keen to get started on her garden...
