Mrs T asked us to come along to help her pack up some things for a house move. Little did we know that her plans had changed sometime between the mission confirmation and us turning up on the doorstep.

Knowing our reputation for enjoying the occasional heavy lifting all in the name of fitness, she'd arranged a much meatier task for us. Since her sofa was too big to fit in the new place she'd arranged a sofa swap with a neighbour across the road and asked us to help out with the heavy lifting.

Step 1: Dismantle her corner sofa and move it across the road to the neighbour's house

Step 2: Move a heavy reclining sofa onto the street for collection by the council

Step 3: Move the neighbours smaller sofa (the heaviest yet) to Mrs T's house

Step 4: Move an armchair from Mrs T's to the neighbour's house.

All perfectly straightforward... apart from the slightly too small doorways, small children 'supervising' in the space, and slightly larger children jokingly heckling (Come on guys, you're doing a really bad job!). To be honest, it was all made a lot easier by the poor unsuspecting neighbour who was 'invited' to join in the fun. We were pleased to hear that he earned dinner out of it!

Mrs T was happy to have more space to spread out the packing boxes and the neighbour's children were delighted with their new thrones! We were just delighted to have a sit down on the soggy outdoor sofa before moving on!
