A Wardrobe Well-Function
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Monday, 2nd of October 2017
Arriving at Mr F's flat on a damp Monday evening, I was greeted by the sight of a very recent house move, with boxes and bags everywhere. It was clear that Mr F needed some help tidying, lifting heavy crates and constructing furniture so he put me to work immediately. I started with the easy job of sweeping, hammering down nails in the floorboards and lastly covering the skirting-board edges with black tape, which made a surprisingly significant difference, at least aesthetically speaking.
This job, along with clearing some living space (so that he could move around and even sit down), was finished fairly quickly so I moved on to the main event: constructing a flat-pack wardrobe.
Flat-pack furniture assembly is never a task for the faint-hearted but Mr F needed to hang his clothes so I set to work. In less than one hour (beating my previous IKEA record), I'd erected the whole thing and, after some faffing with hanging the doors, the job was done. Mr F was extremely pleased and will be calling on GoodGym's services again.
