Joao and Sam met up at St. Faith's Community Centre to help out GROAD two weeks' in a row now. Last week we had more volunteers than we needed as the drop offs were few and far between. However, this week in two and Stephanie (helping from GROAD) we suddenly had drop off after drop off. There were, at least, a dozen drop offs in the space of an hour and a half.

Yet, this week there was a change in system. Last week we had to sort everything out and pack it away in the shed. This week, we had to sort out everything that was not rough sleepers and left it on the tables (not on the floor). Apparently, the organisation for refugees would come and collect the items tomorrow and there were definitely items to collect from women's clothing to baby and children toys....thrown in with a couple of homeware items.

Lots of the donatees were happy to be getting rid of their stuff and we were happily taking them in. The busy afternoon ended up producing 3 tables of women's clothes, 2 tables of choldren stuff and a table of homeware. That's success!
