Last night our wonderful Run Leader Joao led the team out to Sunnyhill Primary School to help out on a task organised for us by Task Force hero Jo - teamwork makes the dream work as they say!
as we were heading a bit further afield it meant a meet at Streatham Hill station rather than Papa's and the team set off from there for a short run up the hill to the school.
We had a strong group of 9 willing volunteers and great to have Louise across again to help out, thanks Louise!
Check out the awesome photos (we had too many to include them all so might drop a few on the sosh's) of ourvols shifting woodchip and lifting compost from one area over to where the kids will be using it for gardening lessons.
Last but not least we had Will along who baked us some delicious cookies and that makes it all even better in my book.
Big thanks to all and we look forward to seeing you next week where we will celebrate Tilly's 100th Good Deed so don't miss that and of course those who wish can go for a drink afterwards as well! :0)

The Lambeth GoodGym crew were back out to help Annick and Jean down at the Brixton Allotments.
It was also a first Group Run for Nancy so it was great to have you with us!
The team helped carry on the good work started a month ago and check out the great pics to see how it looked.
Huge thanks to all and see you next week :0)

A delayed run report for a fantastic group run!
Joao stepped in as Lambeth's Run Leader to take the group over to Ruskin park this week and a bumper crew was around to help out.
Very exciting we had Will with us for his first GG run, welcome Will it's great to have you with us!
Justin from the Friends of RP was there to meet the team and he showed the group the work that needed doing including clearing huge areas of bramble and weeds from around the pond and also over by the fence.
Importantly the group ended the session with juice and biscuits provided by Justin so that was amazing. Check out some great pictures and thanks to all - see you next week!

Oh what a wonderful evening, oh what a miserable day! The weather yesterday had us feeling quite up and down but what always keeps me positive is having a great GG crew out to make a difference in the community.
First up we had Rebecca back after a while away and it was lovely to see you!
An all-runner group this evening and despite the short distance we wanted to arrive early so we could get through what turned out to be a big old task. AA Yianny, Katie, Maya (it was only a little rain shower!), Michael, Joao & Rebecca set off for the less than 1km route.
Annick from Friends of Windmill Gardens needed our help to lift up huge planters, clear the 40 year old crates from beneath, clear it away and then replace the planters onto breeze blocks - an awesome heavy duty task.
After tools were distributed and tasks allocated the group attacked with zest, the muggy conditions making it a sweaty and peaty affair. There was weeding, clearing, dumping, lifting and on and on.
Not the easiest task for anyone with a bug/spider aversion (although Joao very much resembled Spider-Man climbing over the railings) but no-one shirked and after an hour we had just about completed it all, leaving only a bit of sweeping for Annick post task.
Check out the photos below and a big thank you to all, it was a really fun one!
See you all next time :0)

With AA Yianny away this week our fantastic Run Leader Joao was in charge of taking the group over to visit Holy Trinity!
Joao was being met by Jo on the way and Marie-Noelle and Paul at the task while Nicole and her team and James (aka Father Nature) were also there.
Check out the pictures taken by Jo and a big thank you to all, see you next week!
