Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Sevan
Kash and Sevan arrived for a simple mission to wrap up their weekend, to find out if Ms I's iPhone was working correctly as it didn't seem loud enough. After 20 minutes and some test calls, including to a friend downstairs, they decided that the phone was fine and their best guess was that some people were talking more quietly as the speakerphone volume was already set to max.
"The man downstairs is a bit ga-ga. He might try and call me back again and again" - Ms I
Ms I then mentioned the problems that she was having with her bed. She was sleeping on an inflatable bed as her normal bed couldn't be fully built. She'd lost the pieces to hold the slats in place and in any case, she wanted to change the slats from the standard metal ones to the wooden type for more comfort.
Kash and Sevan didn't know what the missing piece was, so Ms I suggested an excursion to her friend in the building - the phone call man - who she said had the same bed as her. Kash and Sevan followed only to find that the bed was not the same model, it just looked vaguely similar and was a different size. They did get to see the key missing piece, the slat holders.
Back in Ms I's flat, they tried different ways to find some of these slat holders without any luck. Ms I's bed's measurements didn't match any replacement parts that they found online. Ms I realised that finding the right product could be a long and fruitless process, so asked if getting a new bed would be better.
"It would definitely be simpler to buy a new bed. I can't say if it would be better" - Sevan
"Would a wooden frame last as long as a metal bed frame? I'd prefer a metal one" - Ms I
"A wooden bed frame should last a long time, as long as you don't abuse it" - Sevan
😮... 😳... 😅...
"You don't use your bed as a trampoline, do you?" - Sevan
Kash and Sevan left Ms I with some new bed options to investigate and explained that GoodGym could help her order one up once she'd made a decision on what to do next.
