Always go outside the box
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Southwark.

As I’m not quite back to school full time yet, I offered my help to my friend for his local charity. I collected a scruffy handwritten list of things to do from the Chair of Pelican Plus. I managed to email and ring his residents and support network to ensure they were getting support and record if they needed anything that Pelican could help with (free food parcels, financial aid, access to the helpline...). I ticked off my list of tasks. I went outside the (tick) boxes and checked if I could do anything else. Mr D (chair) asked if I could write a volunteer Job description for their charity. Managed to get it all done. Mr D was so grateful and said he had been a seriously productive day.
