A variety of reasons were given this evening for non-attendance including illness, social lives, football and Brexit! So we were just a small group of eight but we were very happy that that group included Michael returning for his first run since breaking his foot in August. Welocme back!

Our task tonight was working with local residents and Cllr David Gibson to battle the scourge of graffiti in the Hanover and Elm Grove ward. We worked In three groups in three different areas painting over random words such as atone (or alone?) and change or (chance?) as well as other unidentifiable scribbles. Whilst its frustrating that the grafitti keeps returning the volume of it has significantly reduced due to our efforts and we have inspired lots of locals to keep on top of things as well. Zero tolerance!

We headed to the level for our fitness session of 400 meter runs with some supporting exercises that are great for developing strength for runners such as calf raises and one legged squats. Our workout was interrupted by Level legend Stevie G keen to show us his his drunken star jumps so we moved on to the stairs at big Sainsbury’s for some fast feet drills including toe taps.

Next week it's a visit to the Community Kitchen, hope to see you there.

Cllr David Gibson is well on board with Goodgym and comes up with various tasks around the ward to keep us busy & useful.
