Four fab runners ran 6km to Harlesden Town Garden to help tidy up

Claire, Samina, Georgie and Clare met up on a lovely May evening to do some good in Brent. It was strange not to see the other members of the taskforce team as they were still away enjoying the sights and sounds of Bulgaria - we can't wait to hear all about it! But GoodGym must go on, so we set off after a quick warm up, trying to find the least hilly route... which lead to Claire finding a new way to get to Harlesden Town Gardens, with a little help from google maps... Despite the detour, we made it on time. We had to choose our weapon - big chopper or little chopper, and get stuck in to a huge pile of branches and twigs that had come from some recently lopped trees, which means that more light can get in to the gardens. Our task was to chop them up small so that they would fit into a big bag, whilst we heard all about the plans for the garden over the summer months, which includes the completion of a club hut which will have a kitchenette and toilet so that gardeners don't need to head for home every time the urge strikes, and spend more time enjoying the lovely surroundings of the garden. Great news!

Our time shot past, and before we knew it it was time to down tools and head back to the Queensbury, taking the more familiar route back to make sure we actually did get back before dark!

Thanks everyone! See you next week!
