Those who know me will know I'm not the most festive of people, but there's just no getting away from it, and although it still seems a little early to me, it was our last run before it and I'm going to have to just mention it ..... Christmas! That's as much as I can manage, Bah humbug indeed!

A big Brighton Goodgym welcome to Alex who joined us from Camden tonight for some do-gooding down south!

Big ups this week went to….can you guess? I know easy isn’t it, once again we report that Michael has a new parkrun PB! This time he’s smashed 25 minutes to get in at 24.40! We also bigged up Helena as she was away last week and we weren’t able to congratulate her on her new parkrun PB of 19.24, blimmin’ awesome!!

Massive cheers to anyone who went for a run on Sunday morning. That includes Louise and myself who took on the downland, hilly and exposed Mince Pie 10 mile in gale force winds. I was literally blown up a hill, totally out of control, my fastest mile of the run, scary but thrilling!

We headed back to Essex Place for our task to continue our tidy up of the community garden. Tonight’s job was to continue digging over and levelling off the ground in preparation for a wildflower garden. We made great progress with the digging, forking and raking and a large part of the garden is now ready for planting.

Task complete we headed to the seafront terrace to play our Fitness Advent Calendar Game. 2 teams , 24 numbered cones, with a team member taking turns to race to find the next number and then everybody did the exercises on the gift tag attached to the cone. We raced through it in record time, got all 24 exercises done and the final score was 14-10 with the winning team being ….can’t remember!

We headed back to YHA for our monthly social and enjoyed some hot chocolate and rum! As this was our last run before Christmas all that is left to say is have a splendid one, keep running, see you in the New year and enjoy this….the best Christmas song ever made!!
