4 runners were grateful to have a reason to pop on their trainers and bring their smiles out of the house for goodgym!

As with the Saturday sessions; we were tasked with the weekly clean and re-stock of the Richard Benson Hall ahead of another busy week of deliveries and parcel packing. As OMA provides emergency support 7 days a week, there's always a hive of activity at the hall, with drivers coming to pick up parcels lovingly packed by the morning team, meals collected for distribution by the kitchen collective, and this week, a large delivery of goodies for Ramadam!

Shelves were looking a little bare so Anna and Katie jumped on main hall duty, where laughter and chatter (and some keen can enthusiasm) fueled beautifully re-stocked shelves.

Zoe and Alice headed into the kitchen, where a mountain of squishy bananas and fury asparagus greeted us. Alice tackled the crates of bananas and asparagus, while Zoe blitz the rest of the Kitchen to the highest standard; with interesting finds such as Pea Shoots..... and even more asparagus (this time in much better shape!).

Something wonderful about the huge turnover of fresh produce at the hall is getting a handle for what veg. is in season at the moment; asparagus most certainly makes the cut this week! If you look close enough, you might see Katie wielding a can of the green spears too!!

Jobs jobbed, we reconvened in the kitchen. Zoe gave some of the 'just about' salvageable bananas a third chance at life for some weekend baking, while Alice Anna and Katie enthusiastically grabbed some of the fake steaks from the volunteer's fridge.

As the light starts to shine even brighter at the end of the tunnel, hobbies are slowly back on the cards, and as we were leaving talk turned to Anna's favorite one, open water swimming! In no time the 4 of us had easily thought of a way to incorporate the joys of such with a potential good gym run and litter pick; now to see who's brave enough to go!

Great job this week everyone; always a delight to spend a Saturday afternoon with you!
