Mrs G had a familiar task for David and Anne - to remove an existing bed to make way for a new one that would provide Mrs G support and aid her mobility.

It was immediately evident that the outgoing bed was a solid specimen and was not going out without a fight. But armed with a good screwdriver and a great deal of experience, the two volunteers made steady progress.

Pressure mounted when it was revealed that the delivery of the new bed, originally understood to be booked for later that day, was in fact already behind schedule and could turn up any moment!

A final encouraging kick completed the dismantling stage and the final parts of the bed were soon removed ready for the arrival of the new bed.
