Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nick Moore
As Miss V was unable to climb her stairs, she directed us to the bedroom where we would find the parts for the bed she wanted built and left us to it. Thankfully (based on previous similar missions...) this bed was of the Ikea flavour, and once we'd opened the right boxes to find it's constituent ingredients, we got cooking.
Helpfully, the instructions were pretty clear and we had all the necessary parts, although we did have to borrow a screwdriver from Miss V, who had a well stocked Tupperware box for us to choose our weapon of choice from.
With two of us on the task, we were able to move the frame around at various points to make the building a bit easier, and it wasn't too long before we had it constructed and were laying the slats across the frame. As Miss V couldn't see the finished article, I took a picture to show her.
"Oh, that's what it looks like" she exclaimed, laughing...but she was so pleased that her grand daughters would now have a proper bed to sleep in when they come to visit.
