On a glorious Sunday morning I made my way down to Stephens House and Gardens to help out weeding the rockery.

As the only Goodgymmer I joined up with Gardener Alison and her eager team of regular volunteers. We were given gloves and trowels and set to work on the huge rockery that was in danger of being overtaken with Willowherb, buttercups and nettles.

It was hard work in the sun and the ground was pretty baked from the past weeks hot weather, so the weeds were putting up a good fight. We managed to get a fair area cleared of weeds and by 1pm we were all ready for Hilary's yummy homemade flapjacks. Great work by everyone and the Stephen's House and Gardens volunteers were eagerly looking forward to having more help from Goodgym on Tuesday's group run.
