GoodGymer Linda joined forces with eight “tree keepers” to do battle with weeds threatening to overtake the young saplings that make up the Ladywell Fields’ Tiny Forest, planted last November to help combat climate change and biodiversity loss. The recent warm damp weather meant green growth had spread – not all of it welcome – but after an hour’s pulling and chopping, the forest was once again free of bindweed and other invasive plants. Exciting to see that the quickest growing of the new native trees are already nearly a metre tall!
